The following blog post is the tenth in our journey through the special edition of RE-AIM in the Frontiers in Public Health special issue! The article titled “Planning for Implementation Success Using RE-AIM and CFIR Frameworks: A Qualitative Study” written by King et al. (2020), shows the use of RE-AIM in the comparison of CFIR in regards to understanding intervention planning, evaluation, and outcomes. This is a unique publication that shows the use of RE-AIM in discussion with CFIR and highlights the process of understanding the strengths of both with an interesting conclusion to the use of CFIR to understand the success behind implementation versus the use of RE-AIM to both plan and evaluate.
