The following blog post is the third in our journey through the special edition of RE-AIM in the Frontiers in Public Health special issue! The article titled “A Qualitative Evaluation of the Pain Management VA-ECHO Program Using the RE-AIM Framework: The Participant’s Perspective” written by Ball et. al in this article highlights using the RE-AIM framework in both a qualitative methodology and in the clinical setting of the VA. This article explored all the domains of RE-AIM, except reach, focusing on the perspectives of participants in the VA ECHO program. The study was able to use the RE-AIM Framework to gain insight into the intervention attributes and unintended consequences to better inform the future use of their intervention.
